Building Community: Spring Open House 2022

Last month, Grace’s Table had the privilege of opening the doors of our Richmond House to the public for our Spring Open House. It was an incredibly fun night, filled with laughter, good questions, and delicious hot cocoa.

Our team made connections with many great organizations in our community, like Family Futures. Family Futures is an organization that works to help families get the tools, education, and support that they need to ensure that their children are happy, healthy, and safe. We were thrilled to welcome several of their incredible employees into our Richmond House, where we were able to learn from each other and plan new ways to support the work of each organization as we help our community.

Our interns and staff gathered with the Family Futures team in our living room and talked long after the event had officially ended. During this time, they shared about their experiences in working with families, and encouraged our interns to find ways to continue their education and expand their networks.

After the event, one of the members of the Family Futures team, Susi Alonso, shared about her experince.

What a super fun night seeing Grace’s Table, drinking delicious hot chocolate and hanging out with you and your crew!!! Thank you for creating a space and energy where we all felt so completely at home. It was magical
— Susi Alonso, Partnership Coordinator, Family Futures

Throughout the evening, our team was able to connect with other organizations as well, like New City Neighbors, Linked Learning, Chick-Fil-A Walker, and Gordon Water. These community partnerships and relationships are what enable Grace’s Table to expand our reach and serve even more teen mamas in our community.
